Gurnee, IL (March 28, 2026) – Two people were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday, March 26.
Police and fire crews responded around 1:30 p.m. to the intersection of Route 41 and Delany Road for reports of a crash involving several vehicles. Upon arrival, first responders found a five-car chain-reaction collision in the northbound lanes just east of Delany Road.
Authorities said the crash involved a Chevrolet Silverado, a Toyota RAV4, a Honda CR-V, a Toyota Camry, and a MINI Cooper. The initial impact appeared to occur when a vehicle struck the rear of the Toyota RAV4, triggering a chain reaction that involved the other vehicles.
Paramedics evaluated eight individuals at the scene. Two occupants from the Toyota RAV4 were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining six individuals declined further medical treatment.
